Complimenting the acoustic performance of HardRock®Multi-Fix, ROCKWOOL Acoustic Membrane is a high performance, sound deadening polymeric layer used to enhance the performance of an acoustic roof build-up. An ideal acoustic solution for buildings requiring an exceptionally high acoustic performance, such as schools, hospitals, cinemas, airports, arenas and leisure developments.

In conjunction with HardRock® Multi-Fix (DD), Acoustic Membrane provides additional mass to meet the most demanding acoustic specifications. This solution is suitable for light weight metal roofing systems and has been designed to deliver sound insulation across a range of frequencies.

School meets acoustic targets using ROCKWOOL® products - Case study

Nottingham Girls’ High School is an independent school that educates girls from infants to sixth-form.. With the aim to expand the school’s facilities, a newly built performing arts centre, which consists of a 275 seated auditorium, was constructed. Kier has a long-standing relationship with the Cambridgeshire area, having worked on 23 projects with the University of Cambridge, so it was no surprise when they decided to build their brand new three-storey headquarters in the Cambridge Research Park. Although delivering the project themselves, Kier decided that with a flat roof forming part of the design, they required a roofing material that would provide exceptional acoustic management, good thermal insulation and a high quality finish that needed minimal maintenance.
