Thermal RockFloor®
The ROCKWOOL RockFloor® range is a tissue-faced, high compressive insulation slab made from stone wool. The dual density structure of Thermal RockFloor® means it can be laid over slightly uneven subfloors.
Thermal RockFloor® is suitable insulation for ground floors to provide occupants with a solution for thermal comfort and heat conservation in dwellings.

Thermal Performance
The U-value for a ground floor is determined by factors including its size, shape, soil type and edge insulation.
The following tables shows the RockFloor® insulation thickness required to suit a number of floor types based on their P/A ratio (generally the larger the floor area the less insulation required).
The P/A ratio is determined by dividing the total exposed perimeter length of the floor by the area of the ground floor (exposed perimeter being the total length of the floor slab which is adjacent to an external wall or unheated space such as an integral garage).
Construction Example: Ground bearing slab
ROCKWOOL Thermal RockFloor can be installed below the concrete slab or below screed. 65mm Screed, 150mm Medium Density (2000kg/m3) concrete, DPM
