Management
We are committed to provide equal opportunities to all employees, promote diversity and work against all forms of discrimination among ROCKWOOL employees. Policies and procedures that raise awareness about these topics are part of most of our global processes.
The Group believes that diversity among employees and management, including an even distribution of age, nationality and educational background contributes positively to the working environment and strengthens the Group’s performance.
We have long been a diverse workplace where employees with different backgrounds, nationalities and competencies work together. As an illustration ROCKWOOL employs 71 different nationalities, including 31 at our Headquarters in Hedehusene. In addition, there are three nationalities represented in the Board of Directors; and five in Group Management.
In 2021, 28 percent of all leaders in middle management positions were female, including 41 percent of new hires. In 2021, there was one female member of Group Management. In 2020, we set a new target to achieve 33 percent female representation among our shareholder-elected Board members by 2024. In 2021, the level remained at 17 percent as no additional females were elected to the Board at the Annual General Meeting.

In 2018, Group Management set a target of 25-35 percent female leaders in executive and middle management positions. In 2021, 28 percent of all leaders in middle management positions were female, including 41 percent of our new hires. In 2021, one of our Group Management members is female.
Management accountability for these diversity goals will drive success. Our continued increase of diversity in general will be further strengthened through our talent development processes and management appointments to support the diversity goals.
