ROCKWOOL floor insulation is made from premium stone wool and can improve a building’s thermal and acoustic performance.

Installation

ROCKWOOL basement ceiling insulation can be installed in several different ways, utilising products and fixings that we supply in our range.

Using a mortar glue applied to the surface of the insulation, it can be pressed against the underside of the above floor – potentially levelling out an uneven ceiling surface.
Insulation can also be put into place using mechanical fixings that are first attached to the sides of the insulation boards, then drilled or nailed into the ceiling.
Selected products can be encased in a concrete floor, using a lost casing method. The floor is poured on top of the insulation and held firmly in place after removing the casing, with ‘pigtails’ applied to the back-side of the insulation.
